- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup pure, raw honey
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 6 sheets phyllo dough
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together ricotta, honey, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Layer phyllo sheets in the pan, brushing each with melted butter.
- Pour ricotta mixture over the phyllo layers and spread evenly.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool completely before serving.
Notes
For a Greek twist, use thyme or orange blossom honey. Serve chilled or at room temperature with a drizzle of extra honey.
