Ingredients

  • 450 g (1 lb) ground beef (80/20 fat content)
  • 450 g (16 oz) pasta (penne, rigatoni, or shells)
  • 240 ml (1 cup) heavy cream
  • 60 g (½ cup) Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 34 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or basil, chopped
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) olive oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) beef or chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp butter

 

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula. Drain excess fat if needed.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and broth, then bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and butter, mixing until the sauce is smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the creamy sauce.

 

  • Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra creaminess, use more Parmesan or add a tablespoon of butter. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on low heat with a splash of cream to maintain texture
